Server Groups let you control instance placement using Affinity (co-locate) or Anti-Affinity (spread out) policies — useful for high availability or performance grouping.
Navigating to Server Groups #
- Go to Providers→ Compute → Server-Group.
- This opens the Server Groups listing page.

Creating a Server Group
#
- Click the Add Server Group button.
- Enter a Name for the server group.
- Select a Policy from the drop-down: Affinity or Anti-Affinity.
- Click Create — the group appears in the listing.
Assigning an Instance to a Server Group #
- Go to Compute → Create Instance.
- During the Network & Security configuration step, select the desired Server Group.
- Complete the instance creation process as normal.
